This is the perfect place to build your kit, take classes, network, get amazing ideas and techniques all in one building. When I left the building last year, I was preparing for this year. I am bringing a bunch of makeup artists that I know, we will be driving up from MD/DC/VA. Here’s a list of the brands that will be there …most of them give unbelievable discounts that day!! Just a heads up!! Here’s how it goes: Each brand has a table set up showcasing their products. Some of the actual creators and owners of the brands are at the booths, so you really get the inside scoop. If you are looking for makeup schools or workshops around the country, many of them will be available too. One of the things I loved the most were all of the billions of brushes. When you come, bring plenty of cash (and your credit cards too, of course) and fill up your kit or personal makeup kit for years to come! I surely intend to! Hope to see you all there!
I hope you had a fabulous weekend! And if you see any Veterans, give them a big old kiss on the cheek, they clearly deserve it. In a few hours, I’ll be on my way to NYC to interview Sam Fine. I’m sure you have his book, Fine Beauty. And, he’s graced the faces of Halle, Mary, Yolanda, Naomi, Janet, Faith, and sooo many more. The man is a makeup genius, and he has shown us brown girls how to reinvent ourselves over and over again! He’s going to be teaching a Master Class at the legendary MAC store in Harlem and I am beyond thrilled to be going, of course you will get the scoop!!
Mean while, I was stalking Sephora (as usual), and found such an amazing deal!!!
