My favorite part of every MAC Holiday collection is the pigments and glitters. These little vials last forever, and you can use (most of them) on your eyes, lips and cheeks. This year, however, I’m gonna have to say that I’m a little disappointed. Usually, the sets offer at least five colors, and cost about the same amount. None of these are on my must haves list, because I own nine of the 12 shades listed. But if you don’t have too many of the shades, I’d suggest you go for it. These retail for $35, and go on sale November 5th.
It’s the holiday collaboration you might have seen coming. I sure didn’t!
Quote from M∙A∙C Senior Vice President/Group Creative Director, James Gager: “Mariah is the over the top pop and beauty icon. Throughout the years we’ve all watched her with admiration and feel right now she is at her ultimate best. She exudes elegance, glamour, sophistication or sense of fun. Her “All I Want” lipstick is the perfect frosty holiday shade and her Beauty Icon collection will be everything you think of when you think M·A·C and Mariah.”
Quote from Mariah Carey: “M·A·C has been my go-to makeup brand for as long as I can remember and I’m so thrilled to be collaborating with them on a lipstick debuting this December, just in time for the holiday season! The champagne frosted ‘All I Want’ shade is elegant, sophisticated and glamorous. My M·A·C Beauty Icon collection will be launching in 2016 and is certain to not disappoint.”
Navy is the new black, I swear it. I absolutely love wearing both navy and gold, and I’ve incorporated it all over my life–wardrobe, around the house, even on my blog. This holiday season, Jin Soon has launched Gilded, a mix of white and gold glitter that can be worn with practically any other nail color. Read on to get the look.
Last Sunday, I skipped the Emmy’s and hightailed down 495 to my old work stomping ground at Tyson’s Corner. They were hosting their #Skincareselfie event, where beauty bloggers from the DC/MD/VA (DMV) area learned about new products for the season.
There was a lovely spread ready for ravishing!

PTR came out with acne “stickers” that actually reduce the size and devastation (heh) of pimples. Just put it on before you hit the bed!
This Irish Moor Mud actually uses 900 year old mud from Ireland! How crazy is that? Where the heck do you even find mud that old?!
I’ve been wanting to try Sunday Riley forever.
